Hello all, I just started getting into woodworking, last time I made anything from wood was in high school woodshop. I have a limited number of tools I am working with, I have been wanting to make a new cutting board for our kitchen island but I keep getting curved boards when gluing, Im putting that project on hold until I get a planer or better clamping tools.
I saw a need for a small slicing board for cheese an other appetizers, and thought I could get it clamped together without having my warping issue.
I purchase small pieces of neat looking hardwood from a local store to make my projects, it's mostly wood that's on sale or I think looks neat.
I used wormy maple for the main board and glued on a small scrap of black walnut to make it a little wider for cutting and holding appetizers.
