In building this Adirondack chair, we based our design on Norm Abram's New Yankee Workshop plans. We have built several styles of Adirondacks over the years, but this chair is by far the most comfortable. We have glued every joint where wood meets wood with exterior grade polyurethane glue, so the chair truly is rock steady. Built from pressure treated pine available at our local Home Depot, this chair features smooth, rounded-over edges and a curved comfortable back. We also designed a side table making the table slats scalloped on the ends to match the style of the chair.
