I installed trailer lights on my trailer but they would not work, so frustrating, my Uncle Dave always told me if your trailer lights don’t work it is usually a grounding problem, I noticed that the tongue of the trailer was just bolted to the trailer with rusty bolts and the current was not getting to the rear of the trailer, I used my Ryobi driver to run a wire from the tongue to the frame of the trailer.
