A/C Unit Protective Guard

  • August 2, 2017

Back story - my brother had to replace the AC in his home last year and he found out that dog urine is very corrosive, so we had to do something to prevent this at our house. All of these materials are reclaimed or left over from previous projects. The sheet metal was used to hold up a pile of dirt next to a chain link fence, the landscaping timbers were removed from a commercial construction site and were headed to the landfill until I saw them, and the 2x4's where left over from making our garden.
Each side has different measurements to take into consideration (the wiring and the dirt around it). We used pocket holes to connect the 2x4's to the timbers and sheet screws to hold the tin down. Over all it turned out great!

  • Love the look of the reclaimed tin! Huge fan of the upcycle builds!
