Rebuild and Expand After Water Damage
We bought our first home last May and we have been dealt so much with it; sewage backup, heating duct replacement, cat urine soaked flooring under brand new carpet...etc
The latest being the "breakfast room" (catch all for the last couple of months) flooded with 2 inches of water, fun stuff on New Years Eve.
Instead of fixing the roof and replacing the damaged wall and flooring, my plan is to push two walls out and move the kitchen into this room, leaving the current kitchen an area for a second bathroom and sliding glass doors to the backyard for the kids.
I haven't done major carpentry like this since I was 16, over a decade ago, so I am nervous and psyched to have this project.
