I created this table to accommodate our family and friends. After purchasing our first home we started having the holiday and special occasion gatherings at our house. It didn't take long to see everyone trying to find seats and eating out of their laps. So this spin on a classic farm table was developed. We decided to forgo the traditional breadboard end caps and make the hardware in contrast to the stain.
It was challenging building this table without a shop due to the daily changes in wood and weather, but we think it came out great! The color is a little darker then we wanted as well, I had to strip the sealant and restain it after we had an unexpected rain prior to finishing everything.
Overall, it was a fun build and will be used for a very long time!
