When my wife wanted to remodel the kitchen she decided a table was on the list and we needed a nice big table for her big family get together's every Sunday. This table was built from 100+ yr old tobacco barn drying beams and siding from southern Maryland. The lighter color center slats are ripped down from 4X5 cherry wood tobacco barn beams. the outer frame of table top and framing is white oak from tobacco barn siding. My biggest challenge was planing down the cherry slats because of how hard the wood has gotten from its long life as a tobacco barn. Since we started using it I have received tons of complements and my Facebook post about it blew up with likes and positive comments. Several people have already tried putting an order in for their own. Thanks
