When our new puppy started out growing her wire crate I knew we need to purchase a larger one. The problem was they were super expensive and I really didn't want to spend the money on another ugly wire crate. After finding a free crib on Craig's list I knew it would be perfect to make a new crate for my dog, so I got to work! Using the free crib, some scrap wood, and 70 year old reclaimed barn wood for the top I was able to make the perfect home for our fast growing puppy. I now have a beautiful dog crate in our home, and Sunny (our dog), loves it! It sure beats a wire crate any day!

  • I would've taken this a step further in order for the use to do double duty. I would've made this to also be used as a kitchen island, or a counter extension, while also the kennel. This looks great , you have nice craftsmanship. I am big on repurposing items for other than its original intention. Bravo!!
