Before I deployed to Afghanistan I wanted to do a fun project with the kids that they would be able to enjoy in my absence. A friend of mine had just finished a home addition and renovation and had a good amount of left over materials for me to use. I had my oldest sketch out a rough drawing of what he wanted it to look like and I knew I was in for a long project. Although the rough drawing couldn't show the details well he did verbally request that it had a trap door, a deck, windows, lights and electricity ( so they could camp out ) walls, and a roof. So literally a tree house. The children and I had a great time building it and it came out pretty good. The fact that trees move and grow was definitely a obstacle i hadn't dealt with before in building.
I am happy to report that I am home safe and the treehouse is still standing.
nice job looks good.
