I started by recycling a basic 8 foot wood bookshelf. First, cut it down to 7 foot and added a base plate with ball feet. Also added a top plate with crown moulding, and decorative trim around the bottom and top. Shelves were faced with wood, as well as the left and right side. Trim also added on the back. The bookshelf then received base paint, then an antique glaze. Rhinestone pattern applied to back, and metal studs applied to front sides, top to bottom. The finished piece is being used in my wife's skin care salon. Product storage on the shelves, with the back side facing the salon. The bookshelf now acts as a room divider and gives a distinctive look to the area. Ryobi tools used throughout the whole process - drill, circular saw, brad nailer, sander.
