DIY LOVE Marquee Sign
This project is for decor at my wedding and I love how it turned out. Incorporating the frame behind the wooden letters was a great alternative to other DIY marquee sign options where you have to try to hide all of the wires for the lighting behind each letter.
I love this, great job. I would love to know the measurements of this it's really a beautiful piece.
Hi JLR! This project was inspired by a blog that I follow - Shanty2Chic. Their project was for wall decor and they stained theirs naturally and it's really beautiful! Here is their plans for it:
I improvised a little bit and made ours a little smaller because we knew it wasn't going to hang on a wall but rather be table decor. I believe mine is around 3' long but you really can customize however you want with your sheet of plywood.
I did the wall art from Shanty-2-chic! but never considered adding this! Love!
Where did you get the lights?
2x4 plywood for frame, cedar shims, 1x3 furring strips, 1x2 furring strips, pre-cut wooden letters, light bulb strands
