I love to garden and I thought I would build some planter boxes from some old fence panels. First I searched the Internet for pictures of planter boxes, then I drew up some basic plans, and then began the project.
At first, I thought it would take 4 to 6 hours to complete the project, but found myself putting the final screws in after 16 hours, spread out over the course of three days. I also had to modify a couple of things from my plans as I went along because the things on paper that fit, didn't fit in practice, which added some extra challenges, but overall, in the end, left me with sense of accomplishment.
I showed the completed planter box to some of my friends and now they want me to make them one too.
All in all, I really enjoyed this project and I'm looking forward to making more planter boxes in the following weeks and months. I also learned to be flexible with regard to the design so I can make changes that better suit the end result.
