Sun and Moon Ikea wall light hack

Using a wall light Base from a children's flower wall light I bought from Ikea, I created a night light for my daughters room. I used a combination of 3/4", 1/2", and 1/4" plywood to create the Sun/Moon wall light. I started by measuring how far off the wall I needed the face of the light to be. i then cut three circles with my hand jig and cut one starburst shape. Then cut out enough room for the light to fit into the piece. I cut a crescent moon shape into the top (face) circle and decoupaged over it to allow the moon shape to illuminate through when the light was turned on. The final effect shows a sun in the daytime and a crescent moon at night.
