Gazebo / Screened Porch
My family wanted an outdoor living space where we could enjoy our wooded backyard since the summertime temperatures can be 10-15 degrees cooler in the woods. We've had alot of rain this summer, so we quickly realized the gazebo needed to be screened in to keep all the mosquitoes away. The answer was a custom built gazebo/screened porch. The gazebo is hexagon shaped, 12' wide, with a steep roof that is topped with a functioning copula. The custom "starburst" railings are an architectural detail that I even incorporated into the screen door.
I couldn't have done this project without my Ryobi tools. Because the project is in the woods, I didn't have a power outlet nearby, so my cordless tools were invaluable. The hexagon shape required multiple angle cuts with my saws. I upgraded to the new Lithium Plus batteries that make my Ryobi tools lighter and allow a longer use time between charges. We are very pleased with how our project turned out, and it's like having another room, but this one is outside. Thank you Ryobi for helping me make this happen!
