This is a outdoor gazebo that I build on our back patio. My wife insisted on it as trade for some new tools. The entire gazebo is elevated 1" by each 4x4 post, the center, and throughout the floor being built onto 4x4x1 plastic bases. This prevents any standing moisture from gaining access to any of the wood. The 4x4 post are pressure treated but the rest is framing lumber that was stained redwood and then treated. This cut the cost for lumber in half.

  • That's beautiful - I love the pattern in the floor.

  • Thanks, not sure how but the floor just came out that way after staining.

  • A really nice finish, looking like it belongs there.

  • Octagonal gazebos are not easy to build but you have done a great job.
