    • This bush was totally overgrown. First I trimmed away the branches that came off the lowest 12 inches of the trunks with a Ryobi electric pruning shear and a Ryobi chain saw. Of course wear protective clothing and eye protection always! Next, I stood back and found that the shrub leaned south due to the ambielt wind pattern. Trimming a bit at a time with Ryobi hedge trimmer and the pruning shears, I was able to shape it taking a bit off both the north and south sides until the bush looked symetric. Finally using the Ryobi string trimmer, I trimmed around the bush and the rock and used the Ryobi blower to spread the fine trimmings around after pickup of the branches and finally mowed in the fine trimmings to mulch them into the lawn. In all about 45 minutes of work.
