    • What a great job- it's really neat that you used your own natural stain, too. The finish is really beautiful. Is it tricky to get an even finish when working with materials like coffee grounds and beer grains?

      • It wasn't that tricky at all. We steeped used coffee grounds (which we got from a local coffee shop) then applied the stain with a rag. Some of the grounds filled in the seams and plane scraped areas on the boards adding to the rustic feel of the table. The coffee grounds put a nice base stain to the wood. I was brewing a Brown Ale so the dark beer grains is what really gave the table it's color. The beer grains were also steeped and the stain was applied with a rag. Easy, Natural, and Cheap.

    • That's such a great way to do a stain- and it looks awesome. Thanks so much for sharing the project!
