    • Great looking cabinet work by a master craftsman as evidenced by the joint work and beauty of the overall project. Great job, knucklebuster!!

    • Beautiful work, nice modern kitchen

    • Wow! This remodel is amazing. Greenfrog is right on- those cabinets are flawless, and the counters are a perfect match.

      • Thank you all for your very kind words!!! Greenfrog called me a master craftsman, but this was actually my first total kitchen remodel. I have had a notable amount of DIY projects of many types in the past. Look for my 2 upcoming "floating" china and crystal cabinets. Thanks, again!!

    • This turned out great! What a perfect idea for saving space. It's really evident that this project took a lot of skill and vision. The finish you chose looks perfect- what kind of paint/sealant did you use?

      • THANK YOU so much for your kind comments. The 1st coat on the bottom was a int latex Behr semi-gloss. Wife didn't think it dark enough. Next 2 coats were int/ext latex Behr hi-gloss and final coat was a Minwax polycrylic for a little extra sheen and hardness. (By the way, I have to brag some: That is the first "fine furniture" cabinet and doors I have ever made.) I'm a retired auto mechanic, but learned a lot from my father, (also a mechanic) when he built our house, his shops and other things. After remodeling our master bedroom and the kitchen, wife figured I was good enough to build furniture. She's happy. THANKS AGAIN. KN

    • Great work on this! It really gives a nice complete feel to the space, since it's coupled with your built in China cabinet. Very impressive build- thank you for sharing!
