      • Thank you :)

    • I would love to make one of these. My husband and I would be proud to honor my father in laws flag displayed in our home for everyone to see.

      • It was a special build knowing how much this would mean to my grandmother in-law. I used glass which made things a little more frustrating since I kept breaking it when I was cutting it to size, I would recommend plexiglass instead.

    • Love this desk! And the stain choice!
By Smashingdiy, on January 19, 2017

    • Totally agree- you nailed that choice of stain. It suits the design perfectly. This will be a great work space for the Mrs.

    • How do I get to the plans? I can only see 2 pix.
By pasual, on August 2, 2016
      • Hi pasual, here is the link to the plans on Ana whites blog http://www.ana-white.com/2014/01/mimis-mantle-revised. Modify the width to fit your wall accordingly and also you can adjust the depth of the mantle by swapping the 1x3's with wider boards. Hope this helps.

    • Not shabby at all! In fact, from the looks of this table/bench set, you're a natural. Nice choice on the rustic design and stain, too. Did you follow a set of plans or make your own?
By RYOBI Nation, on June 29, 2016

    • Thank you, and I ended up following Ana White's plans for the table and I used the same method and applied it to the bench build.

    • Looks like you picked just the right plan. Great work!

    • This turned out perfect! Bravo on your first build - no one would ever guess this was a beginner project. The finish looks really nice too. Did you create your own plans?
By RYOBI Nation, on June 29, 2016

    • Thank you, Inspiration for the build came from HomeMade Modern and I modified the sizes to cater to a side table.
By dadeboni, on June 29, 2016

    • You really did well on this. HomeMade Modern would be proud!
