I actually got them at Michaels craft store. They sell them unstained and already cut it was perfect.

At the moment the entire room is down to the studs. So drywall and new flooring plus bedframe and dresser.

    Chalkboard Command Center : breezyxxo
The first attempt was with plywood and paint, but it did not work out at all due to the roughness of the wood (even with sanding). Second attempt I used actual chalkboard from home depot and worked out magically

    Fireplace Revival : breezyxxo
Hopefully the entire thing in the end. I would love to have 2 columns on the sides with stone wrapping around and a weathered piece of 4x4 for the mantle.

    • Very cool gift.  It looks like 1/4" pine, is that what you used?

      • Nothing wrong with making a project easier when you can.  I agree the twine wrapping makes a nice presentation touch.

    • I really like these.  I’m also into unique wood, almost art projects.  Nice work on these.  I especially like your packaging.

    • Did you use an actual chalkboard for this or is this chalkboard paint? Nicely done!
