Need a display wall for your event? Let's build this big 8' x 8' wall with ledges or customize however you like to fit your event or party space. Basic supplies and tools are all that's needed to construct this display wall. Bonus it's portable and can easily be assembled almost anywhere you need wall space.

      Supplies: • 10 – 2x4x8 studs • 2 – sheets ¼” plywood • 2 – 2x8x8 boards • 1 – 4x4 post scrap piece @ 30” • 3 – 1x4x8 boards • 240’ – 7/8” x ¼” flat lattice moulding • Wood glue • ¾” finish nails • 2 ½” wood screws • 3” wood screws • ¾” wood screws • 1 ¼” pocket hole screws Cut List: • 4 – 2x4 @ 96” (frame sides) • 4 – 2x4 @ 43” (frame top & bottom) • 4 – 2x4 @ 93” (frame studs) • 2 – 4’ x 8’ – ¼” plywood (walls) • 2 – 2x8 @ 37”, one end 45 miter (support bases) • 4 – 2x8 @ 20”, one end 45 miter (support verticals) • 4 – 4x4 @ 7”, both ends 45 miter not parallel (support wedge) • 3 – 1x4 @ 80” (ledges) • 3 – 7/8” x ¼” flat moulding @ 80” (ledge lip)

      Attach the frame sides to top and bottom using 2 ½” countersunk wood screws.

    3. Step: 3

      Attach the interior studs to the frame using 2 ½” countersunk wood screws.

    4. Step: 4

      Attach plywood to frame using ¾” countersunk wood screws. Repeat process for second wall flat.

    5. Step: 5

      Construct the support base. Attach vertical pieces to support base using 3” countersunk wood screws. Note the 4 ¼” gap between the vertical pieces, take into account the thickness of your wall adjust this gap accordingly.

    6. Step: 6

      Attach support wedge to base using wood glue and 2” finish nails. Make two.

    7. Step: 7

      Place wall flats into supports and secure at back using 2 ½” countersunk wood screws where the two flats meet.

    8. Step: 8

      To make ledges attach flat lattice moulding to front of ledge using wood glue and ¾” finish nails.

    9. Step: 9

      Attach ledges to walls using pocket holes predrilled to line up with studs. Using 1 ¼” pocket hole screws. (The plywood is removed to show the studs for reference.)
