Shanty 2 Chic

My wife has wanted me to trim out our windows for a long time... your how-to helps with the how but I'm a bit confused. You talk about the top pieces being MDF but the photos look like plywood. Am I missing something? When you put the 1/2" plywood on the sides does it help straighten out the sides? Ours are nowhere close to straight and level and hope this makes getting them there possible! Thank you. Bob

Sick table! Love that black stain, impressive that you actually used wood biscuits. Too often I see people skimping out on that.

- Thank you so much! The biscuit work was so easy too! The Ryobi biscuit joiner we used was amazing! Loved how it sucked up all the saw dust and didn’t make any mess on the floor. And luckily the Ryobi joiner came with some #10 biscuits... just enough to make the table lol

- Thank you so much! I tried to take my time to get the stain right! I even did a practice run on the underside of the table lol. I used the varathane wood swab so I could apply the stain to the whole table quickly and evenly. :)

- I definitely love the dressers! I added drawers to the shelving units to increase our drawer space! My husband helped me move them to the room! I am anxiously waiting for time and saving for a planer to make the dresser top and barn doors! 🤗
