The majority of string trimmers give you the ability to adjust the width of the cut that you are making. A larger cutting width will allow you to get the job done a lot quicker. Increasing your cut by a few inches can greatly reduce the amount of time that you spend in your yard. However, using a larger cut width will reduce the runtime that you will get with your trimmer and it will also use additional trimmer line. A shorter cut width will save energy and string but it will take you longer to do the job. Either way, the ability to choose is a nice feature to have on your tool!
