Baby Cradle with Angels watching

When I purchased a drawing for a cradle my wife said that the old cradles are no longer wide enough for store bought pads and bedding so with the help of my wife's eagle eyes I altered the plans to accommodate today's bedding. I purchased rough sawn red oak and planed it down on a Ryobi bench planner. I used a Ryobi jig saw to cut out the hand holds and curved pieces. Then I used a Ryobi drill press to drill all the large pieces of the cradle and a Ryobi drill to drill up the dowel holes. There are no metal fasteners in this cradle. It is put together with wood dowels. I used a Ryobi orbital sander at first then hand sanded for the final finishes. I brush laquered the finish and wet sanded between coats. If I had one of the Ryobi paint sprayers I would have tried spray painting it. I hand cut the intarsia angel on the back. All babies need angels to watch over them. This was an absolute pleasure to give to my son and his wife.
