End Grain Wall

While standing in line at Home Depot, I noticed the end of a pallet of 2x4's and came up with the idea of cutting several end grain pieces and use them to cover a wall.

I used my Ryobi Miter Saw and a stack of 2x4's. Many of them were scrap pieces that I had lying around. I cut the pieces in various thicknesses from 1/4" to 3/4". I attached the pieces on the wall with the Ryobi Brad Nailer using a couple of 1" nails in each piece. I didn't use any glue, since I was working with a wood wall, but it should be possible to attach the pieces with a fast curing construction glue. I think the wall looks great and as a bonus it gives a great wood aroma. It is really easy to make and could be a perfect weekend project.
