Ryobi Router Madiness

A friend was renovating his house and needed a new set of stairs was quoted a price of 4800 plus labor. I told him if he buys me a Roybi Router table I could make his stairs in about a week. My wife Marie assembled the Router table in about 15 minutes. while I was prepping the large sheets of red oak plywood to be cut into steps. Using a 2x4 as a straight edge cut the 13 steps & fascia known as treads and risers. I installed my 3/4 in round edge bit. I ran the front and side of the steps across the router in a snap. EASY AS CAN BE! I flipped the steps over and ran the other side of steps to make a perfect bull nose. Marie applied 2 coats of stain and promptly wiped off the stain to show the nice wood grain. The railing is routed the bottom edges & the top edges comprised of 4 pieces of 3x3/4 oak. screw the bottom to the spindles and then glue the top to the bottom and use many clamps. Tools used, Roybi: router table, Impact driver, drill, mitre saw, Job Plus.

It's awesome that you can do the exact same job as a professional for way less. The stairs look great, and I'm sure your friend appreciated the price difference. Ryobi to the rescue!
