Covered & open porches

I have alway wanted a covered deck to sit out on to enjoy during rain, snow, hot sunny days, etc. So my wife and I decided to undertake this project, since we are not getting any younger. ( I am 79). It was challenging, fun, and worth every minute that we spent building it. We savor our morning coffee, and our evening drinks relaxing and enjoying the peaceful river flowing by. I am so glad that Ryobi tools helped to make this dream come true, it just doesn't get any better than this!

Gorgeous! Advanced indeed. Wondering if you used tempered glass or plexi?

Hi Chuh,
Thank you for your comment. The glass in the railing is tempered, it is out of sliding glass doors that people have updated to french doors. You can pick these up for very little cost.

Ollie, what a great tip! I wish I had known about the sliding glass door thing. I just finished a project that called for tempered glass. Talk about sticker shock. Thanks, Chuh
