Ultimate Hammock

Keeping my hammock on the lawn just killed the grass and made it a pain to mow. So I picked a shady spot beside the pool and built the Ultimate Hammock Stand. Made from #2 pressure treated lumber, all the bolts, screws and fasteners are hidden, the 6X6 posts are cemented in the ground and the four 2X10 headers are strong enough to support hanging plants or a future porch swing. The hammock now looks like it belongs in the yard and not just some random piece of lawn furniture. In about 3 months or so, when the wood is seasoned, a fresh coat of waterproof stain will finish it off nice. Looking forward to the lazy days of summer.
