Backyard Deck (over Slab)

18' x 18' deck over concrete slab.

I had a friend (construction contractor) come over and advise on a plan to build a deck over my concrete slab. He tested the 28-year old slab (6-inch depth) and determined a plan for my deck.

Used Ryobi SDS Hammer Drill to bore 3 holes in each location for 14 concrete piers. Used 1/2" rebar and bonding agent to form molds for piers. Then it was off and running to build an awesome deck that saved 55% on contractor quote.
