HomeRenovation

Renovation of my husbands childhood home upon his transition out of the Army due to a lack of suitable housing in our area. We started this project in October 2011 and are by no means finished. Did I mention its a mobile home....and it was ten years old when his parents bought it.....and that nobody had lived in it or maintained it for twenty years? The first three days we lived there, my children slept in the workshop office; my husband and I slept in the van; and it was 40 degrees at night. We worked at our day jobs in the well....day...and worked on this home in the evenings. The master bathroom had no floor and all the cabinets, plumbing fixtures, etc. were sitting on the floor joists. Labor has been contributed by family not only here in Texas but from my parents in Florida whenever they come to visit.

Very ambitious. Thanks for sharing and good luck with this undertaking. Please share more after photos as you progress. And please thank your husband for me for his Army service.
